Press down with cable. Note the angled bar - it allows a more natural grip.

A flat bench press

Bent over rowing. Note the angle of footrest and bar. Both intended to cut stress where it is NOT desirable.

Note that the back is slightly arched here and the feet are squarely on the floor for stability. this is very important.

A Leg press machine here, You can see the much greater depth of movement which is possible here as compared with squats. The Glutes are hit here as well as the Quad group. The handles Robbie is holding are the safety locking mechanism. The pic below shows the start position. One thing though, the pic has been rotated about 40 degrees so looks odd!
