I have devoted this gallery entirely to a group of pose pics taken from a series of magazines I have. At the moment they are not all dated or named. I'll enter that information later, when I dust them off again!

Two poses showing the effects of subtle changes in angle and more training.

Earlier competition post comp pose. 1982

Robert Guy

Robert Guy 1982

A fine example from a young Gary Lomas of how to do the pose.

The upper body is well shown, the angle of the arms is illustrating biceps and deltoids, but the lat spread as well.

Legs show the thigh front (left) and also calf on both reasonably well. "On the toes" is best for the calf itself, but one leg at a time.

Anthony Hall

Another excellent example here. 1982

The pose is showing both upper body muscles and calves, though only one thigh is partly tensed.

Billy Craske 1982

Study this pose (left) carefully. It shows many muscle groups very clearly. Bodyweight is "on the toes" so you can see the calf muscles, thighs show fairly well and there is an excellent display of both arms and chest. Note the abs are not emphasised at all, the aim here being a flat stomach.

Below A winning physique!

A great choice of pose, (left) showing many bodyparts in one.

Two pics of Paul. More info later.
