I have devoted this gallery entirely to a group of pose pics of guys aged 14 to just over 20. The poses are not actually in competitions, but are poses used in such situations. I have commented on each, indicating what the pose intends to show. It is noticeable how a physique looks bigger in some poses.

Click to see larger images is not active. Already at full size here.

At this age, Andrey, like most youngsters new to body building shows fine arm and shoulder development. The pose shows triceps and deltoids particularly well.

A very young Andrey Babanov (not outside!)

Note the different appearance of the legs. Only one can be fully tensed at a time.

Sergei is careful to balance both arms here.

Another excellent example here.

The pose is showing abs and leg muscles (right) He had a new site and NEW PICS! It is now off line. There is also a Yahoo! group as well!

Most competitors use skin colouring, which is why the pic looks so strange.

Two new video share groups (viewing only unless you have a flv save and viewer options).

Newly added below, a great posing video by Myles Hannaman which should run (for quite a while!)

Left pic shows arms and lats. It is best not to raise elbows too high in this pose, and to hold both at the same level. Note the abs do not show cuts in this pose, but the fine intercostal muscles can be seen.

Right pic emphasises thorax, but mostly the triceps (in the near arm) and deltoids too.

A young physique at the beginner stage.

Cluttered background, but an excellent cheerful pose with arms and a well demonstrated lat spread too.

A similar pose to above right. A slight arm angle change shows more of the chest as well as the abs, and this time the right leg is tensed. Very good thigh build!

The chest looks much smaller in this pose, but is aimed to display arms, abs and most of the Quad and other muscles in one leg. It must be repeated with the other leg forward.

An unusual pose, but it works well. Chest, shoulders and arms all show well. It is important here that both shoulders are level. That way both chest and arms are balanced.

The two guys above may have acted as cameraman for each other. That they enjoyed the shoot is evident. This enjoyment adds to the effect of the well posed pics. Note that the shoot has a similar pose for both guys.
