The pic to the left is a Michelangelo style pose but is NOT Joey!

This page is the new member page for Nick 19, who borrowed the pics shown here from Joey! Use the e.mail link left to submit questions to this site, answers, photos etc. Nick seems to have vanished! Joey is still around though and is now 21!

Nick is 19 and hasn't been training at all so far. "Can Any guy get a six pack?" He asks, using Joey's pics as if they were him! If so, How?

Patrick writes here for you.

See second pic two rows below too.

E.mail link here.

The pic of Joey shows him to be slim, but with good upper chest, arms and shoulders. The answer is yes. The exercise pages here show several abdominal exercises. The key is in high reps here, and if possible the inclined "Crunch". Use of weights is not required. For further info see the links. Mat has info on this matter. It helps to tense the abs at ANY time, hold for a count of 7 then relax.

(How and why I started)

I have added the animated gifs below and more may follow later.

Jeremy at 14, not Joey.

The pic of Jeremy doesn't show his abs tensed. The pose is to show the limbs primarily and the back. He has clearly put a good deal of effort into those areas. Joey already shows good arms, chest and shoulders, so he will be able to gain a six pack too. I suspect he has a high metabolic rate, meaning he will need above average protein intake.

Flat crunch. You can use an inclined board, say 30 deg. with a foot strap.

This is a much more extreme version. You can also use an incline board and a weight held on your chest.

Sergey Litvinov (at 19)

Remember that Sergei has been training seriously since early teens. He has put in a hell of a lot, with state help probably.

Joey does have a six pack!

Bigger or simply better toned?

The use of weights can have these two effects.
