Notes on the clip. After the flexing in front of the machine with overhead press , pec deck (flies) and pulldown stations, you see a flat bench with stands (pecs). Then the wall mounted dip bars (triceps) - a similar set can be used for leg raises as shown by Denis Kropotov here. Alternate Biceps curls with dumbells separate each arm. You can see Jeff is doing as many reps as possible! You can also curl both arms at the same time with dumbells. |

The poses are not the same, but illustrate a point. I guess Oula was thinking of that when he e.mailed me. When you are asked to show a muscle, almost all of you will flex your biceps as first option. Oula is clearly no exception here. As you can see from the pic left, he really has done a fine job so far on his upper body and midsection. His pecs arms and abs look really well. A match for Sergei in fact, who was a similar age in the pic second left. Oula had to do army service and has not reappeared so far. Legs, however are a somewhat different story, or that's how it looks in the pics which are not showing any really tensed leg muscles, so could be misleading. Oula seems to be a little under built in that area. That's where more effort could be made. The vast majority of teens DO neglect the legs. Cyclists and soccer / rugby / Anerican or Aussie football players are the exceptions here, and, of course sprinters, who are pretty well built in all respects! |
