A gymnast has to have a stronger upper body, with strong, but not massive legs.

Here is a powerful physique, All shoulder and arm muscles are nicely balanced, Pecs too.

A gymnast physique here with upper muscle groups developed very well indeed. The leg development is less marked than a bodybuilder, since many exercise routines use arm strength and balance as you see here. Very big legs would be a disadvantage in this case.

There are example pics of young teen and boy gymnasts at my other sites. Gymnastic activity is excellent to get your body in good shape.

The physique and type of build you get is due to a large extent to what goes on in the genetic department. Some of the "supplements" on offer are detrimental to your personal growth control centres (i.e. your testicles). The old cartoon comment at Quadfather was no joke!

Left an average guy. Right a heavy bodybuilder.

If " roids" do shrink them, will they recover?

Advice on steroids is available off site. The apparent reduced testicular size in some cases would suggest excessive use of synthetic testosterone sources which makes them near redundant!

The Diver, like Tian here needs a good physique, not just for appearance either!

The power shown here is an indication of how good a build an Olympic diver needs. It is plain to see how all his body is working, to keep the legs straight and to power the body into a spin too at the same time. See larger image below.

A simple looking position, but you must have the strength there to do it well!

A great pic, you can see the power.

More pics wanted!

A superb power shot! Study the muscle groups carefully. All are playing a part.
