Jeremy at 14, not Eugene. Jeremy was a lot leaner, as you can see.

The page is a combined effort. The training suggestions below relate to teens up to 15 or so, or initially ANY teen new to training. In other words don't run until you can walk!

The abs are very important for posture and for general body form for twists and turns. Bear in mind that there are alternative exercises there. You are NOT expected to do all of them! Soccer players need strong upper and inner leg muscles too. It is useful to make up an inclined board too. See Routines page too.

Sergey Litvinov (at 19)

Remember that Sergei (19 in the pic) had been training seriously since early teens. You can't get a solid bod like his overnight. Check also the younger Alexey Wolf (pic below) for a closer comparison and Kolya Nemcev. Both pics of Eugene below are at 15 yo.

Alexey Wolf was 14

Kolya Nemcev was 13 in the photo - a quite exceptional physique.

Alex has less at his disposal, but should be showing progress quite soon, as the growth spurt also begins as well.

 

Alexey Wolf - pictured doing the back exercise bent over rowing- The weight is at the top of the bar, the other end wedged behind him.

The Gymnast, Kolya Nemcev. He is very highly toned overall, as is the norm for a gymnast. His biceps, triceps, deltoids,serratus anterior, pectorals and abs are all clearly defined in this shot.
