These pages are all newish so will be changing as new info is added. Remember though that any exercise often involves secondary muscles too. Machines give a very controlled range of movement. Free weights are often harder to control, but give greater scope. |

A colleague, similar in build to Tom is resuming gym training after a bout of bugs and an injury. He may share some images and routines information with the site. A good point, if you are a beginner is to take progress pics at intervals with the same poses. You will both please and surprise yourself! |

Thin build, shoulders tend to be lower (but are not always.) Often hard to gain muscle and to retain it. Tends to have a rapid metabolism. |
Heavy build, with pronounced excess weight, notably in waist and legs. Diet is not always the main factor. |
Upright build, with higher squarer shoulders and quite defined "athletic" musculature. Finds gaining muscle easy compared with the other two |

The 3 graphics above are the three basic body types. The Rockie pages have further info about them. Genetics are important in governing how well and easily you gain muscle. You should avoud any substances which interfere with natural genetics, especially when you are still growing. Steroid damage is NOT a myth - some of it IS permanent. |
